Graduated from Directing Department of the Polish National Film School in Lodz with specialization in Film Editing. Editor of feature and documentary films, TV series, music videos which are widely shown and awarded at different festivals not only in Poland but also abroad.
Twice awarded at ‚Montaż Film Festival’ in Lodz for Best Short Feature Film Editing; in 2015 for film „Interruption” („Przerwanie”) – dir. Adam Suzin, and in 2018 for film „Tremors” („Drżenia”) – dir. Dawid Bodzak. Film „Tremors” was shown at over 40 festivals around the world which was most awarded polish short film abroad in 2018, including Clermont-Ferrand (International Short Film Festival) Grand Prix in the international competition.
Kamil is also editor of short documentary „Connected” („Połączeni”, 2018) – dir. Ola Maciejczyk, which premiered at the IDFA festival and won the Silver Dragon at the 59th Krakow Film Festival. For this film, Kamil was nominated for The Polish Independent Cinema Award Jan Machulski in the category best editing.
In 2020, he collaborated on the editing of the TV series „Król” (dir. by J.P. Matuszyński) – winner of Eagle Polish Award in Best Feature Series category. Second project with collaborative editing was the feature film „Let there be no traces” („Żeby nie było śladów”, 2021) with premiere at 78th International Film Festival in Venice, the winner of the Silver Lion at the film festival in Gdynia and Polish candidate for the 2022 Oscar.
His debut in 2021 as editor of the full-length feature film “Fears” („Wszystkie nasze strachy”) – dir. Łukasz Ronduda and Łukasz Gutt, was premiered at the Feature Film Festival in Gdynia and awarded top prize of Golden Lion for Best Film.
His commercial portfolio includes edits for: Red Bull, Adidas, Coolpack, Frisco and Ver
He also edits music videos for: Smolik / Kev Fox, Sabina Karwala and Rosalie.
Kamil has many passions apart from editing, does variety sports like tennis, spikeball, paddle and surfing.
