Kamil, a graduate of the Directing Department at the Polish National Film School in Lodz, specialized in Film Editing. He has made a mark as an editor for feature and documentary films, TV series, and music videos, earning recognition and awards at numerous festivals, both in Poland and internationally.

 

His talents were acknowledged at the „Montaż Film Festival” in Lodz, where he received the Best Short Feature Film Editing award twice. The first in 2015 for „Interruption” („Przerwanie”), directed by Adam Suzin, and the second in 2018 for „Tremors” („Drżenia”), directed by Dawid Bodzak. „Tremors” achieved global acclaim, being showcased at over 40 festivals worldwide and earning the Grand Prix at the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival in 2018.

 

Kamil’s portfolio also includes the editing of the short documentary „Connected” („Połączeni”) in 2018, directed by Ola Maciejczyk, which premiered at IDFA and won the Silver Dragon at the 59th Krakow Film Festival. His work on „Connected” earned him a nomination for the Jan Machulski Polish Independent Cinema Award in the best editing category.

 

In 2020, Kamil collaborated on editing the TV series „Król” (directed by J.P. Matuszyński), which won the Eagle Polish Award for Best Feature Series. He also worked on the feature film „Let there be no traces” („Żeby nie było śladów”, 2021), premiered at the 78th International Film Festival in Venice, winning the Silver Lion at the Gdynia Film Festival and representing Poland in the 2022 Oscars.

 

His debut as the editor of the full-length feature film „Fears” („Wszystkie nasze strachy”) in 2021, directed by Łukasz Ronduda and Łukasz Gutt, received the prestigious Golden Lion for Best Film at the Gdynia Film Festival.

 

In 2023, Kamil has continued to make waves in the industry, working on various projects such as ” #BringbackAlice” directed by Dawid Nickiel, the series „Absolutni Debiutanci” directed by Kamila Tarabura and Katarzyna Warzecha, and „Krokodyl” directed by Dawid Bodzak, which had its international premiere at the 62nd Cannes Film Festival as part of the Semaine de la Critique.

 

His achievements also extend to the short film „Kot” (2022, directed by Zofia Kowalewska), nominated for the Jan Machulski Award in the Best Editing category.

 

Beyond his film editing endeavors, Kamil is active in the commercial sector, crafting edits for renowned brands such as Red Bull, Adidas, Coolpack, Frisco, and Ver. Additionally, he lends his editing skills to the realm of music videos, collaborating with artists like Smolik/Kev Fox, Sabina Karwala, and Rosalie.

 

Outside the editing suite, Kamil is a multi-sport enthusiast, engaging in activities like tennis, spikeball, paddle, and surfing. In 2023, he captained the Polish Representation and achieved success at the European Championships in Lisbon.
